fourth day of April 1733

John Beale Esqr Mr Ralph Crabb Members of the
Mr Walter Smith Mr Edwd Sprigg Lower House

Your Conferrees haveing taken under their Consideracon, as well
the Bill Entituled; An Act for the Relief of poor Distressed Pris-
oners for Debt as the Amendments proposed thereto by the Upper
house, and haveing duely Considered thereof, do Agree to the Sev-
eral Amendments made by the Upper house, Except such as are
hereafter Mentioned and Expressed (to wit) that part of the Pre-
amble, which Excludes all but such as are imprisoned on Account of
inevitable Losses and Misfortune, and instead thereof that none be
Excluded Relief, but those as shall be found to have been Guilty of
fraudulent and Deceitfull practices, and that all the Amendments
proposed in Relation thereto be Accordingly Altered Your Con-
ferrees do also Agree, that no Married Person shall be lyable to be
sold, to discharge all or any part of his or their Debts, And we do
further propose that the last Clause in the Amendments, be Altered,
and Instead of the words, who shall not make a full & Exact Dis-
covery upon Oath of his or their Debts or Effects; these words be
put in, who ever shall wittingly or willingly Neglect to make a full
Discovery or true Inventory of his or her Debts or Effects: all which
is Submitted to the Consideration of both Houses.
