And the Bill Entituled an Act for the Payment of all Officers
fees in Current money of this Province Indorsed read the Second
time by the Upper House and will not pass.
The Bill Entituled an Act for the Better Explaining and Carrying
into Due Execution an Act Entituled an Act, for Emitting and
makeing Current Ninety Thousand pounds Current money in Bills
of Credit Read the Second Time passed and Sent to the Upper
House by Mr Denton and Mr Trippe.
On Motion of a member that a Conference be proposed to the
Upper House Concerning the Improving the Credit of the Paper
Currency the Question was put and Resolved that a Conference be
proposed Accordingly.
The following Message [See page 333.]
Sent by Coll Hooper and Mr Hammond to the Upper House
George Plater Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
The Bill Entituled an Act for Erecting a Town in Cecil County &c.
Indorsed. Read by the Upper House the Second time and will pass,
the word Sterling being Incerted in the Second line of the last Page
instead of Current money which Bill here read and with amendment
passed for Ingrossing And. The Bill Entituled a Supplementary
Act to the Act Entituled an Act for the Direction of Sherrifs in
their Offices &ca Read the second time and will not pass.
Phil. Lee Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the
Bill Entituled an Act to Adjourn the Courts of assize &c. the word
being in 4th line of 3d page to be left out and the following words
Incerted which hath been given pursuant to the Act for holding the
Assizes and Provincial Court or shall be given which bill with
Amendment passed for Ingrossing
The Bill Entituled a Supplementary Act to the Act Entituled an
Act to Encourage Adventurers in Iron works, read the second time
passed, Sent to the Upper House by Mr George and Mr Wood. A
Bill Entituled an Act to alter the times for Houlding the Assize and
Provincial Courts, and to Appoint the said Courts to be held at the
times therein mentioned
Read the first time and ordered to Lye on the Table.
