Ordered that Col Gale, Mr Hammond, Mr Denton, and Mr George

prepare a Bill Accordingly.
A Bill Entitulecl an Act to Cut of the Entail of a Tract of Land
Containing One Hundred and Thirty Acres of Land lying in Dor-
chester County &c. Read the first time and ordered to Lye on the
Table.
The House Adjourns untill two of the Clock in the afternoon.

The House met According to Adjournment A Bill Entituled an
Act to prevent the false packing of Tobacco and Concerning the
Tare of Tobacco Hogsheads, Read the first time and ordered to
Lye on the Table.
A Bill for the further Assessment of Twenty Thousand pounds of
Tobacco on The Taxable Inhabitants of Durham Parrish In Charles
County to be Applyed to the finishing of a new Church in the said
Parish, already begun to be built, Read the first time and Ordered
to Lye on the Table.
George Plater Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
the Bill for the Building a Court House, And Repository for the
Records in Leonard Town In St. Marys County, Indorsed Read the
second time and will pass, the words not Exceeding fifteen hundred
pounds of Tobacco between Buildings and to, in the last line but two
being Incerted which Bill here passed, wth the Amendment for In-
grossing.
Mr Dulany, Mr Hammond, Col Hanson, and Major Jordan Ap-
pointed to Enquire into the State, and Condition of Ann Arundell
County Goal, and make their Report to this House Accordingly.
Phil Lee Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker the
Bill Entituled, An Act Reviving and Continuing an Act of Assem-
bly of this Province, Entituled An Act for the Better Releif of Poor
Debtors: Indorsed Provided that this act or the Act hereby in-
tended to be revived shall not extend or be construed to extend to
exempt any person or persons whatsoever from the payment of his
Lordships quit rents alienation fines or other dues and duties payable
to his Lordship the Lord Proprietary or his Governour for the time
being for his or their sole benefit in any specie or manner to which
such person or persons would have been liable if this act had never
been made which was read here and with the Amendments proposed
passed for Ingrossing.
Col Mathew Ward from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
the Bill Entituled an Act Reviving and Continuing an Act of As-
sembly Entituled an Act for the Speedy Recovery of Small Debts
out of Court before a Single Justice of the peace Indorsed, Read
