Read and assented to by this house and Ordered to be severally
so subscribed the Paper Bills so Endorsed are sent to the Lower
house by Michael Howard Esqr
Read the second time the Bill Entituled an Act for the further
Assesment of twenty thousand pounds of Tobacco on the taxable
Inhabitants of Durham Parish in Charles County to be applied to the
finishing of a new Church in the said Parish already begun to be
built; passed and sent by George Plater Esqr
A Message from the Lower house by Mrs Dulany and Gale

By the Lower house of Assembly 29 March 1736
May it please Your Honours
This House is ready to join with your Honours in addressing Our
Lord Proprietary to the Purpose Mentioned in your Message of this
Day by Col Hammond; And we most gratefully acknowledge his
Excellencys Care for the Preservation of the Peace and Security of
the Inhabitants of this Province

Gentlemen
This house hath appointed Edmund Jenings Esqr to join such

dress to Our Lord Proprietary as agreed to by Your Message by Mr
Dulany and Col Gale
