The House Adjourns until two of the Clock in the afternoon.

Monday Post Meridiem.

The House met according to Adjournment and all the Members
Present as in the forenoon
The Ingrossed Bill Entituled a Supplementary Act to the Act
Entituled an Act Laying An Imposition on Negroes &c. Was read
And assented to And sent to the Upper House with the Paper Bill
by Mr Hemsley and Mr Needles.
The Bill Entituled an Act for Licenceing Hawkers and Pedlers
Was Read the second Time passed & Sent to the Upper House by
Mr Richard Francis & Mr Tench Francis.
Ordered a Bill be Brought in to Raise three pence p hhd on To-
bacco Exported to Purchase Arms And Ammunition for the De-
fence of this Province And that the Committee of Laws Prepare the
Bill Acordingly.

The Question was put whether An Instruction be given to the
Committee of Laws in preparing the Last Mencofied Bill or not.
Resolved in the affirmative.
George Plater Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
the Paper Bill Entituled an Act to Confirm the Last Will and Testa-
ment of Rebecca Calvert &c. The Paper Bill Entituled a Suplemen-
tary act to the Act for Laying an Imposition, on Negroes &c. And
the Paper Bill Entituled an Act for Reliving Sundry Inhabitants of
this Province from the Charges of Prosecutions for not burning
Tobacco &c. Severally Indorsed, the Ingrossed Bill whereof this is
the Originall is Read & Assented to.

ordered to Draw the Bill so as that the three pence p Hogshead to
be Raised shall be Disposed of by the Governour and the Upper and
Lower House of Assembly for the vise of Arms &c or not Resolved
