A Petition of Charles Mathan, Prisoner, in Ann Arundell County
Goal, praying to be Released, Read; and Rejected. A Petition of
Francis Keighly a Prisoner in Ann Arundell County Goal praying
to be Released, Read and on the Question put Rejected.
The Governour sent the following Answer to the Address of this
House

Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly
I thank You for Your kind and obliging address and cannot but
flatter my Selfe that by our Unanimity and good agreement this
Sessions, we shall make Our Meeting togeather of Real Advantage
to the Province. I assure You, nothing shall be wanting on my
part to make it so having no other View, but your Welfare And
Prosperity which I shall always endeavour to promote to the Ut-
most of My Power. . Sam. Ogle

Benjamin Tasker Esqr from the Upper House delivers Mr Speaker
a Petition of the Rector, Vestry and Church Wardens of King and
Queen Parish in St Marys and Charles Countys, praying leave to
bring in a Bill to Build a New Church; and to Purchase Two Acres
of Land; and to Repair New Port Church. Recommended from the
Upper House and that the sum therein to be raised, be in Paper
Currency of this Province. The Petition of Queen Caroline Parish
and of Caleb Dorsey and John Dorsey, praying Leave to bring in a
Bill to Confirm a Title to the Vestry of said Parish of Two Acres
of Land wherein the Church is Built referred here from the Uper
House, and the Petition of Freeholders of Cecil County praying
a Prevention against Burning of Woods, Recommended here from
the Upper House which Petition were read here and Ordered to Lie
on the Table.
