Read the second Time the Bill Entituled an Act to Enable the
Secretary of this Province for the Time being to record & Enter
up the Proceedings of the Provincial Court which were omitted to
be done during the Continuance of Vachel Denton in the office of
Clerk of the sd Court and to require & direct the Justices of the
Several & respective County Courts within this Province to lay a
State of the Order and Condition the Records and Proceedings of
the said Courts are in before the next General Assembly & with the
following Amendments will pass in the Preamble to the Bill after
the word, Court and and in 10th line of 2d page insert the following
Words. And the afd Secretary his Executors or Admrs in default
of the said Vachel Denton his Execrs or Admrs making unto the sd
Secretary his Execrs or Admrs a reasonable Satisfaction in Curr'
mony of this Province for the Services afd to be done and pformed
in & about the Premises shall and may by Virtue of this Act sue for
& recover the same with Costs of Suit by an Action of Trespass upon
the Case to be prosecuted in the proper Court against the sd Vachel
Denton his Execrs or Admrs declaring therein against him her or
them for services performed and done for the same Vachel Denton
without setting forth the Special Matter and the last Clause to be
left out, there being an order of Council already made directing the
Justices of the Several County Courts to lay a State of their
Records before the Governour and Council

by your House to ascertain the proportions of the payment in Gold
and Paper as desired in the said Message who is ready to attend
immediately
