making seconds have drawn the bill herewith sent which ascertains
the Gauge & Tare of Tobo hhds prevents the croping Tobo taken on
Board Ships on freight and making Seconds with which we desire
your Concurrence

Read the second time the bill Entituled an Act to Aid the defect
in the Certificate of Acknowledgment of a certain Deed of Con-
veyance between Willm Pile & Elizabeth his Wife of the one part
and Thos. Marshal of the County afsd of the other part, of Part of a

Tract of Land lying in the said County called Carrick & will pass the
following Clause being added thereto saving to his most Sacred
Majesty his heirs & Successors the Right honourable the Lord Pro-
prietary of this Province his heirs & Successors and all Bodies
Politick & Corporate and all others not mentioned in this Act their
several & respective rights ordered to be so Endorsed and sent to the
Lower House by Benjamin Tasker Esqr
The Bill prepared in this House entituled an Act to moderate the
Rigour of the Law upon Conviction of Persons comitting nusances
in the high Roads or County Roads by erecting Fences or Gates
therein brought from the Lower House by Mrs Magruder & Stoddert
thus Endorsed

By the Lower House of Assembly 18th April 1735
Read the first Time & ordered to lye on the Table
Signed p order M Macnemara Cl Lo Ho.

Read the second Time the bill entituled an Act repealing an Act
Entituled an Act against Ingrossers & Regrettors and passed ordered
to be so Endorsed and sent to the Lower House by Col Ward
Read the second time the bill Entituled reviving an Act of As-
sembly. Entituled an Act for the Relief of Prisoners for Debt and
will pass the Continuance of the Law being for Six months from the
End of this Session of Assembly ordered to be so Endorsed and sent
to the Lower House by George Plater Esqr

On perusing the Treasurers Accounts we find that the 3d p hhd
upon tobo received in the year 1733 is by them inserted in their
Accounts of the 3d p hhd for purchasing Arms &c but altho that
mony was designed to be applyed to that use, yet forasmuch as the
