May it please your Honours

This House approves the Proposal to have Journals of your
House & those of the Council transcribed by the Clerk of your House
in a Book for that Purpose and that he be allowed a reasonable
reward for so doing as mentioned in your Message of this day by
Col Ward

an Act ascertaining the Gauge & Tare of Tobo hhds and to prevent
croping cutting and defacing tobo taken on board Ships & Vessels
upon Freight and to prevent making seconds thus Endorsed

May it please your Honours
This House upon Consideration of the Bill entituled an Act ascer-
taining the Gauge and Tare of Tobo hhds and to prevent cropping
cutting & defacing Tobo taken on board Ships & Vessels &c. sent
to your Honours this Sessions to which you proposed some Amendmts
find that the Allowance for the Cask (which was intended to be pro-
vided for in that Bill) is already Established by a perpetual Law
now in force and conceiving that it is very necessary to prevent the
