A message from the Lower House by M" Hanson &. Woolfuid

By the Lower House of Assembly 18th April 1735
May it please your Honours
This House having taken into Consideration the great Arrears
due to the Publick and the great Burthen it will be to the Publick
to raise so large a Sum by an Assessmtdo propose, that all the pub-
lick Allowances which are due or shall be due at the End of this
present Sessions, be paid by the two Treasurers of this Province
out of the Gold they now" have in their Hands at the rate of ten
Shill. for every hundd pds of Tobo and in Case the Gold will not be
Sufficient that then the Remainder of Such Arrears be paid out of the
Paper Mony in the Hands of the said Treasurers at the same Rate
with which we desire your Honours Concurrence
