The following Message sent to the lower house by M: Howard
Esqr

By the Upper house of Assembly 25 March 1735

Gentlemen
This house having resolved to present an Address to his Majesty
upon the Marriage of the Princess Royal, with his serene highness
the Prince of Orange hath agreed upon the same a Copy whereof is
herewith sent and desires to know if your house thinks fit to Join

therein

This House met again according to Adjournment
Present as in the morning
Read the Petition of John Haswell of Prince George's County
praying Relief a Judgment being obtained by the said Haswell in the
Provincial Court upon a Writt of Dower brought in the said Court,

p. 318

and Judgement thereon rendered Anno 1725 the Clerk of the said
Court not having entered up the said Judgement, referred to the
Consideration of the Lower House of Assembly, and Sent by George
Plater Esqr
A Message from the Lower House by Messrs Gale & King with the
address to his Majesty

By the Lower House of Assembly 25 March 1735

May it please your Honours
This House is very desirous to embrace this first opportunity in
Assembly of addressing his most Sacred Majesty on so great and
happy an Event as the Marriage of the Princess Royal with his
serene Highness the Prince of Orange and to that End very heartily
concur and Join in the address proposed by his Excellency the
Governour and your House

Messrs Sprigge & Stoddert from the Lower House attend with
Col. Belt a member elected for Prince George's County in order to
see him qualified who takes the Oaths to the Governmt appointed to
be taken by Act of Assembly and Subscribes the Abjuration and
Test and then withdrew
