appears to have been the Neglect of his Lordship the Late Lord
Proprietors Officer that has been the Sole Cause of putting the said
Benjamin to the Speciall Application for a Law to be made in his
favour he has therefore petitioned this present Generall Assembly
for releif. And for that it seems reasonable that the said Benjamin
should be put in a Condition to obtain his Lordps pattent for so
much of the said Land as he has proved the bounds of wch for want of
Evidences to prove the particular Courses and Distances from the
last mentioned bounded tree to the first beginning so as to Contain
the said Six hundred and forty Acres he is Content to have described
by a Straight line from the said Last to the first tree wch will include
but about three hundred and thirty one Acres. All which seeming
to this Generall Assembly, most agreable to right and Justice it is
therefore humbly prayed that it may be Enacted.
And Be it Enacted by the Rt honourable the Lord Propry by and
with the Advice and Consent of his Lordships Governeur and the
upper and lower houses of Assembly and by the Authority of the
same that the said Benjamin Howard his heires or Assignes have as
Good a Right and be in the same Condition to obtain his Lordps Pat-
tent in all respects, for the said three hundred and thirty one Acres of
Land described as aforesaid as if a Certificate According to the De-
criptions of this Act and the intent of the said John Howard had been
duly returned and entered upon Record any Defect of a Certificate
thereof or any latter Survey by Richd Colegate of Baltemore County
Gent, who has been heard to this Act or any former Law or practice
to the Contrary in any wise notwithstanding, Saving to his Majesty
his heires & Successors, and to the Rt Honble the Lord Propry his
heires and Successors & to all bodies politick & to all persons not
mentioned in this Act their Just Rights.
