Thursday Morning 13th July 1732
This House met again According to adjournment

Present as Yesterday

Read the Petition of severall of the Inhabitants of the Upper part
of Talbott County and the Lower part of Queen Anns County pray-
ing leave to bring in a bill to Erect a New Parish & that an allowance
for the Minister may be taken from the severall Incumbents of St
Michael, St. Peter & St. Paul's parishes and ordered to be thus
Endorsed.

By the Upper House of Assembly 13th July 1732.

Upon the Petitioners procuring the Consent of severall Incum-
bents of the parishes within mentioned the sd Petition will be taken
into Consideration.

Read the Petition of the Rector Vestrymen & Churchwardens of
Christ Church parish in Calvert County praying leave to bring in a
bill to Levy one hundred Thousand pounds of Tobacco on the

persons taxable in the said pish to rebuild their Church lately burnt,

and purchase two Acres of Land and referred to the Consideration
of the Lower House of Assembly; and sent by Michael Howard Esqr
His Excellency is pleased to deliver his Answr to the Address of
this House in the following words.

Gentlemen of the Upper House of Assembly
I return you my hearty thanks for your kind Address, and shall
always Study to preserve your good opinion of me, by my Constant
Endeavours to promote the Generall welfare of the Province in
which I shall greatly rely upon Your kind advice and Assistance

Read the Petition of severall of the Inhabitants of St Stephens pish
in Cecill County praying leave to bring in a bill to build a new pish
Church at the place where the old one now Stands; Recommended
to the Consideration of the Lower House of Assembly sent by Collo
Rider.

Read the Petition of the Minister Vestrymen and Inhabitants of
St Stephens parish in Cecil County praying that a bill may be
brought in to build a New Parish Church at a place in the sd County
called Cecil Town, and rejected.
Adjourned till Two of the Clock in the afternoon
