Thursday Morning July the 29th 1731.
The House met according to Adjournment, Called & .all Present

as Yesterday.
The proceedings of Yesterday were read.
The Bill Declaring what persons shall be Esteemed Residents
within this province was read the second time & passed, Sent to
the Upper House by Mr Ralph Crabb & W Samuel Hanson, They
return and say they Delivered the same
Benjamin Tasker Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
the bill to Record a Deed of Bargain and Sale from James Gould
and Elizabeth his wife to William Scott and Sarah his Wife thus
Endorst Viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly 27th July 1731.
Read the first time and Ordered to Lye on the Table
Signed p Order. J. Ross Cl. Up. Ho.

By the Upper House of Assembly 29th July 1731.
Read the Second time and will Pass.
Signed p Order. J. Ross Cl. Up. Ho.

Which was read and past for Engrossing.
The following Message [The text of this message is printed at
page 213.] Sent to the Upper House by Coll. Greenfeild and Twelve
more, They return and say they Delivered the same.
Collo Richard Tilghman Mathew Tilghman Ward and John
Rousby Esqr [and] Philemon Lloyd Esqr from the Upper House,
Delivered to Mr Speaker the Bill to make and Emitt thirty six thou-
sand Pounds Current Money of Maryland in bills of Creditt and for
Easing the Inhabitants of this Province in the payments of Debts
and to raise a fund to Sink the said Bills of Credit thus Endorst.

By the Upper House of Assembly 23d July 1731
Read the first time and ordered to Lye on the Table

By the Upper House of Assembly 29th July 1731.
Read the second time & will not pass.
