In Answer to the joint Address presented me by both houses on

Wednesday last, I promise you my best Endeavours to engage such

a friendly Correspondence, with Our neighbours of Virginia, as you
|
|
|
|
desire; which indeed seems the most probable means of promoting
|
|
|
|
the Value of Tobacco, a common Concern to both Colonies
|
|
|
|

I sincerely thank you, for the Marks of your Good Will towards
|
|
|
|
me. I shall give Orders for the Alteration to be made in the Provin-
|
|
|
|
cial Commission, agreeable to your late Address.

Before I dismiss you, I desire you would favourably accept my
