turn and say they delivered the same.

Friday November Ist 1728

The House Met this day according to Adjournment. The mem-
bers were called and all were Present as Yesterday. The Proceed-
ings of Yesterday were read over
Benjamin Tasker and Phillip Lee Esqr from the Upper house
deliver to Mr Speaker the Bill entituled an Act for emproving the
Staple of Tobacco thus Indorsed (viz.)

Read the first time and ordered to lie on the Table.

Entituled an Act for the Encouragement of Learning and Erecting

Explain an Act entituled An Act for laying an Additionall Duty of
Twenty Shillings Currant Mony p Poll on all Irish Servants being

great a Number of them into this Province and also the Additional
Duty of twenty shillings Currant Money p Poll on all Negroes for
raising a fund for the use of Publick schools within the Severall
