Saturday Morning July the 23d 1726
This House met again according to Adjournment.
Present as Yesterday.
Read the Petition of Thomas Sharp of Cecil County which
is ordered to be thus Endorst viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly July the 23d 1726

The within Petition being read is recomended to the Con-
sideration of the Lower house of Assembly

The following message was prepared & sent to the Lower
House by Coll Addison viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly July the 23d 1726
Gentlemen.
This present Sessions of Assembly drawing nigh a Con-
clusion we think it proper to put you in mind of reviving all
such temporary Laws as are like to Expire before the meeting
of another Assembly and particularly the Act for regulateing
of Ordinarys which we are of Opinion will be much better
done at this Sessions than by putting the Country to the
Charge of another meeting to do it

Read the Bill for Advanceing the Staple of this Province
which is ordered to be thus Endorst viz.

Read and will pass with the Amendments proposed in the
Message herewith sent

Which Message is as follows viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly July the 23d 1726
Gentlemen.
On reading and Considering the report of the Conferrees
relating to the Bill for Advanceing the Staple of this Prov-
ince we cannot agree thereto and therefore propose to your
House the following Amendmts to that Bill.
Ist That that part of the Bill which directs the Cutting up
all Tobacco planted this year (above 8000 plants p Taxable)
be omitted it being now too late to effect it
