Coll^o Tilghman from the Upper house Delivers M^r Speaker
the following Message viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly, October the 27^th 1720.

On the Petition of Rich^d Thatcher against Mathew Wallace,
and hearing the parties on both sides, 'tis Ordered that the
said Richard Thatcher be restored to his full Quiet and peace-
able possession of in and into the Lands whereof he was Lately
dispossest by the said Matthew Wallace or his Lessee by Vir-
tue of a Writ of possession Issued from the last Prov^l Court
and that the Sherr: of Cecil County do make Restitution
accordingly And also Ordered That all psons Concerned in
the Dispute of the s^d Lands prepare themselves for a more full
and Ample hearing at the next Sessions and that the pties
waite further the Determination thereof.

By the Upper House of Assembly, Octo the 27^th 1720
Gentl.
Richard Thatcher's Bill is referred to the Consideracon
of the next Sessions and Your Concurrence to this Parliamen-
tary Order will (we believe) Suffice him at Present till we Can
be further Informed of his Case A duplicate of which Order
to be Signed by the Clerks of both houses We propose to be
Sent to the Sherrif

With which this House Concurrs.
Resolved that the Hon^ble Tho^s Bordley Esq^r and Amos
Garrett Esq^r be appointed to Inspect the Land and Secretar^ies
Offices and Agree with such Persons as they shall think fit
for the Securing the Records from any bad weather which

may happen this Winter, and to make their Report thereon
to the next Assembly and Ordered that the folio Message be
prepared viz.

Wee agree with yo^r honours that the Records ought to be
secured from the weather and therefore have Appointed
Thomas Bordley Esq^r of yo^r House and Amos Garrett Esq^r
of our House (if they think fit to undertake the same) to
inspect the Land and Secretaries Offices and to Agree with
workmen to make the necessary reparations in Order to Secure
the Records from any Damage they may Sustaine by meanes
