on his Majesty's Present Governour, we are heartily Sorry
that we Cannot Come into the measures proposed by your
house for Vesting his Excellency with the Monys according to
that Message seeing we are uncertain how soon his Lordship
may think fitt to Superseed his Excellency's Commission at
what time by the Intendment of that Law and the Construc-
tion of the Lord Proprietor he can be no Longer Intituled to
the Same, so that this House would be wanting in their Duty
to His Lordship, as well as be Drawn into measures prejudi-
ciall to the Interest of the Governour who shall be for time to
come, appointed by his Lordship to preside over us, should
we Immediately Vest the Governour with the money ariseing
thereby.

In answer to your Message from your Houorble House by
Coll Young and two other of your Members this house hath
thought fitt to Express their hearty thanks to your Honours
for Intimateing to us the Oppertunity we are now likely to
have, upon the return of his Excellency to Great Britain by
whose means we might be Enabled with greater Clearness to
represent our late aggrievances to the Honourable the Com-
missioners of his Majesty's Customs, but inasmuch as we are
Credibly Informed those debts then due to the Crown on
