Ordered that the following message be prepared Viz:

By the Lower house of Assembly

April 16th 1720
May it please your Honours
This House Takeing into Consideration the Third fourth
and fifth Articles of his Lordships Instructions to his Ex-
cellency mentioned in the Message of yesterday by Coll Hol-
land and three of the Members of your Honourable House are
of Opinion that the Act mentioned in the third Article is
Sufficiently Declaratory in it self as to the Application of the
Twelve pence p hhd therein mentioned.
And to the fourth Article the Result of this House is that
altho' we conceive the Governour is no Longer Entituled to the
three pence p hhd by vertue of that Act than dureing his Resi-
dence here, yet in Consideration of his Excellencys good Ad-
ministration this house agrees to bring in a Bill to Enable his
Excellency to Enjoy the said Three pence pr hhd in his Absence
for the space of Twelve months or untill his Excellency shall
be actually Superseeded which shall first happen.
And as to the fifth Article we are of Opinion that the Per-
son Presiding in the absence of the Governour [is] duly
Entitled to the Tonnage by that Act prescribed.

others.

They return and say they Delivered it.

Engrost Bill for Confirming the Last Will and Testament
of William Bozman of Somerset County Deceased.
Engrost Bill Enabling Benjamin Duvall to sell Entailed
Lands &c.

Engrost Bill for Confirming Conveyance of Lands from
Gibbs to Laurence and Belt.
Read and Ordered to be thus Endorst Viz:

April the 16th 1720.
Read and Assented to by the Lower House of Assembly and
Signed p Order. M. Jenifer Cl: Lo: Ho:

And sent to the Upper House by Mr Caldwell and Mr Smith.
They return and say they Delivered them.
