578 Assembly Proceedings, April 5-22, 1720.

ffriday April 8th 1720

The house met according to Adjournmt
Yesterday's p ceedings are Read.
The petition of the Bozmans referrd till Monday next.
The petition of Major Hicks is referrd till Monday.
The petition of Mary Dorrington ref err'd till Tuesday next.
The Petition of the Inhabitants of Baltemore County about
the Choice of a Sherife read and referred till next Sessions.
The petition of Benjamin Howard praying to be relieved on
a Survey made for his father but no Certificate returned thro
the Neglect of the Surveyor was read and leave given to bring
in a Bill as prayed.
The Debate about the Councilors' Allowances is further
referrd till next Sessions.
The Remonstrance of Sundry Inhabitants Praying that
their Levies may be paid in money at one penny p pound, is
further referred till next Sessions.
The Petition of William and Mary Parish praying the
favour of the Country to bestow on them the old Stadt House
was read and leave given to Confirm the Same to the use of the
said Parish for ever.
The petition of Mark Brown against the Land Commission-
ers in Prince Georges County read and referred for further

Consideration to the next Assembly and ordered the said
Commissioners appear then to Answer the Same.
The petition of Ephraim Cover praying that a Bill may be
brought in to Confirm him Three Tracts of Land lying in
Prince Georges County bought of a certain Thomas Holds-
worth Gent. Deceased was read and Leave given to bring in a
Bill as prayed.

The House adjourns till one a Clock in the afternoon.

Post Meridiem.

The House met according to Adjournment.
Resolved that no petitions be Received after Tuesday next
and that they be Debated on Wednesday next.

The House adjourns till to Morrow Morning Eight a Clock.

Saturday Morning April 9th 1720

The house met According to Adjournment.
Yesterday's proceedings are Read.
The petition of Severall of the Tradesmen in Annapolis
Complaining of Sundry Aggrievances was Read and referred
