And also Delivers the Petition of Benjaman Duvall praying
leave to bring in a Bill to Cut off the Intail of Two hundred
acres of Land part of Howerton and for the Entailing other
Lands in the lieu thereof to the Same uses thus Indorst Viz.

By the Upper House of Assembly
April the 7th 1720
The within Petition is Referred to the Lower House to
Consider thereof
Signed p Order
John Beale Cl. Upr Ho.

Which was Read and leave given to bring in a Bill as
prayed.

The house Adjourns till one a Clock in the afternoon.

Post Meridiem.
The House meet according to Adjournment.
The petition of Nathaniel and Anthony Lecompt praying
to be Relieved against Joseph Vansweringen who holds the
Lands of Mark Cordea, who Married the Widow of Anthony
Lecompt the Grandfather of the petitioners for a Claim of
25000l Tobo was Read and Referred till next Sessions and
Orderd that Joseph Vansweringen or others concerned have
notice of the petition, that if they think fitt they may appear
next Sessions and answer the same and leave given to Sub-
poena Evidences.
Colo Ephraim Augustine Herrman a member Returned to
Serve for Cecil County to the last Assembly, but being then
hindred thro Sickness from Attending Appears now in the

House. Thereupon ordered that Mr Dare and Mr Larramore
go to the Upper House to see him Quallified according to Law
The Comittee for Elections and priviledges return to the
House the following Report Endorsed on the Indenture of
Election for Mr Peter Taylor Viz:

By the Comittee of Elections and Priviledges
April the 7th 1720.
The Comittee having Inspected into an Indenture for Mr
Peter Taylor a Member elected for Dorchester County, the
said Indenture being the Sherifes part the writ and other
Indenture not appearing by some Neglect, and on enquireing
of the Gentlemen of the same County If any Objection against
the said Election and none appearing we Judge the said Peter
