508 Assembly Proceedings, April 5-22, 1720.

Col Herman and Mr Dare from the Lower House deliver his
Excy the following Viz.

By the Comittee of Aggrievances
Aprill the 13th 1720
It being offered to this Comittee as an Aggrievance that the
Sherr of Cecill County Mr James Vanbeber having laid an
Account of Insolvent Taxables before the Court of the same
County amounting to Eight or nine Thousand pounds of Tobo
Alledging that the psons were Some dead and Others had
Absented themselves out of the said County on whose Affir-
macon the bench was pleased to Allow him the said Sherr the
full ballance of his Account. But on Inspection since it is
found that great part of those Insolvent taxables (as he
Alledged) are good and Substantiall and had paid their whole
Taxes to him the said Sherriffe before his Offering the said
Account to the Court as by his Receipts in the hands of the
psons be made appear.

Which being thought an Aggrievance by this Comittee is
Offered to the House for their Consideration thereof.

By the Lower House of Assembly

Aprill the 14th 1720
This house Concurrs with the within report and referr the
same as such to the Consideration of his Excy the Governour
and Councill for Redress.

Excy the following Message Viz.

May It please Your Honrs
This House having before resolved on a Referrence of the
Petition agt Col Addison And the other Land Comissioners of
Prince Georges County according to the usuall and Deliberate
practice thereof as well as Other petitions of the same nature
wherein diverse members of this House are Interested so that
the parties Complaining not Expecting any Determination of
this affair this Sessions cannot be presum'd to be prepared to
make good the Sevll Allegations in the same Petition And
