I Know no right of theirs that is Infringed and if any there
be lett them make it appear (in the name of God) that they
may have Justice done them And that this Province may no
longer Labour under the Misapprehensions of their right un-
der the Imputation of Severities against them. But if there
be none such lett their Silence be taken as an Acknowledgment
that their Pretensions are groundless and their Exclamations
most Unreasonable
I am the more Intent on this proceeding that I may have the
Opportunity of Answering for you here and hereafter, the
Better to prevent their Impositions on Strangers to their
Case and on the Credulity of unguarded minds by their
Amusements.

Gentlemen of the Lower House
I have sevll other Matters proper for Your Consideration

which shall be Comunicated to you by way of Message In
the mean time I do Earnestly recomend to you unanimity and
Dispatch in your pceedings, And I do not doubt (whatever
vain hopes Others may have) you will make it Evident to
Posterity that you are Good Subjects good Protestants and
Lovers of your Country.
Apr ill the 6th 1720 John Hart.

Thereupon Mr Speaker & the whole House withdraw.
Put to the Question whether the thanks of this house be
returned to the Revd Mr Saml Skippon for his Discourse this
day.
Resolved in the Affirmative nemine Contradicente. Like-
wise his Excy Desires his thanks to be returned
And Ordered that the Honble Wm Holland Esqr & Thos
Bordley Esqr return the said Saml Skippon thanks as above
Resolved, And likewise doe the same for his Excy the Govr

This House Adjourns untill the Afternoon
