Desire your Excellency will be pleased to make them such a
present as Your Excellency shall think proper which we are of
Opinion need not Exceed Ten pounds Currt mony

Col John Mackall & Mr Roger Woollford with a bill for the
better Supporting the Magistrates in the Administration of
Justice within this Province
Passed by the Lower House
And being Read in this House, Resolved it lye on the Table
for a Second Reading

Mr Henry Peregrine Jowles & Lambert Wilmer from the
lower house with the follo Engrost bills viz.
A Bill to Confirm the Glebe Land of St. Johns Parish in
Baltemore County
A bill for Encouragemt of an Iron Manufacture within
this Province
A Bill to Confirm part of a Lott to Robt Johnson &
A Bill to confirm Lands to William Gray &c.
All Read and Assented to by that house And being Read are
Assented to by this house And John Hall Esqr sent to acquaint
the Lower House thereof.
The following Message being Prepared is sent to the lower
house Viz.
By the Uper House of Assembly

May 26th 1719
Gent.
In answer to your Message by Col John Mackall and three
others, This house has Appointed Phil Lloyd Esqr & Col Richd
Tilghman to Joyn some of the members of your house and
Desire they will meet as a Comittee in the Conference Cham-
ber in the new building to-morrow morning at Eight of the
Clock on that Occasion

Sent by the Gent Appointed of the Comittee.

Mr John Diggs prefers to this Honble house a Petition set-
ing forth that forasmuch as he is Destitute of an Attorny to
serve him in the Case agt John Beale & Richard Beale, Thos
Bordley Esqr & Mr Daniel Dulany being both Retained by
the said John Beale he Prays that Either the passing that bill
may be Deferred till the next Sessions or that One of those
Gentlemen may be Assigned as Councill for him
Whereupon the Question is put whether One of them shall
be assigned or not
Resolved in the Affirmative
