Perverted by one Single pnicious pson to Consent to the Ruin
of their Country. Such practices, we take to be Barbarously
Malicious And of Very ill Consequence in the Effects of them
as Tending to Create Jealousies and Distrust Between the
People and his Lpps Govr and Both Houses of Assembly.
If upon Examination you find the facts the Gentl: is
Charged with all to be True we do not in the Least Question
But that you will Readily fall into such measures As in your
Wisdom shall seem meett most Effectually to Discourage &
Prevent such base & Dangerous Practices for the future.

The Petition of Samuell Lyle of Calvert County a Languish-
ing Prisoner being Read is Referred to the Consideration of
the Lower House and so Endorsed and sent to the Lower
House p Colo Ward who returns & says Dd it.
His Excellency Offers to this House as a very Great Mis-
fortune that about Thirteen Months pceedings of the Councill
in the Last of Mr Bladens Time is not to be found and Desires
this House will Inquire into them
Thos Bordley Esqr and Eleven Others Bring from the
Lower House the Address of that House to his Excy as fol-
lows Viz.

The many Important Occasions your Excy was Pleased to
Communicate by Your Speech at the Opening of this Sessions
