I have it in Comand from my Lords Guilford and Pro-
prietor to Lett you know how Gratefull your Asserting the
Publick Authority of their Courts and the psons of their
Ministers is to their Lpp and also to Acquaint you that the
pceedings of the Last Assembly was for the most part Ap-
proved by them.
Their Lordships have thought fitt that the Act made in
the Last Sessions Entituled an Act for the Better Supporting
of Magistrates in the Admrcon of Justice and for the Disabling
Thos Macnemara Esqr to Practice the Law therein, should be
Declared to be Null Void and of no Effect
Their Lordships are pleased to Express themselves on this
Perticular that they do think such a Law very necessary.
But forasmuch as there is tackt to it a Clause agt a perticular
pson without Hearing the Party wch is the undoubted Right of
Every One of his Majesties Subjects for this Reason their
Lordships on very Good Advice and Deliberation are Obliged
to Dissent to the sd Act.
Gentlemen of the Lower House
I am ignoranf of the Motives Induced you to pass the
aforementioned Bill more then from the Reasons sett forth
therein, which in my Opinion are Strong and well Expressed
And the facts Alledged such known Truths, that I doubt not
you had Taken all Measures Proper to the Occasion.
