Originall Contract. We have Resolved that the Sume of One
hundred pounds Sterl more than what is allready raised be
allowed and Paid to the said Cook at the finishing the said
Magazine out of the three pence p hhd for Armes &c with
which we Desire your Excellcy and Honours Concurrence.

May the 6th 1718
Gent. On Reading Your Message by Mr Robt Tyler & Mr
John Ward we perceive that you have made a Computation of
the Value of the Workmanship of the Magazine built by
Thomas Cook and that you have Resolved that he shall have
One hundred pds Sterl more for finishing the same this House
Desires you to Acquaint them whether he made any proposi-
tions to you of what work yet Remains unfinisht that we may
see whether It be Agreeable to the bargain Already made, but
if you have done nothing therein It Remains in his Excellency
to Come to a Positive Determination with him what further
workmanship is yet to be pformed for the finishing the said
magazine before the mony be Ordered him

Lower House
Mr James Lloyd and Mr Thos Waughop from the lower
House with the following message Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly

May the 6th 1718.
May it Please your Honours.
His Excy having represented to this House by his Account
that there still remains due to him the sum of One Hundred
and Three pounds Eight Shillings and nine pence sterl part
of the five Hundred and fifty pounds Sterling Ordered to be
Expended in Building a magazine, Desires that the Treasurer
may be Ordd to pay him that Sume, But for that the said Ball
is to be paid out of the three pence p hhd which by the Direc-
tion of the Act of Assembly is to be Disposed of as his Excy
