By the Lower house of Assembly

May 6th 1718
May it Please your Honrs

Wee agree with Your Honrs Opinion on the Endorsment on
the Bill for Limitacon of Actions &c. Save that nineteen
months are thought sufft for the Continuance of any Action
in the Provll or High Court of Appeals, and farther we begg
Leave that a Clause may be Added to that Bill whereby in
Cases of rehearing or Reviews upon the Decrees of the Chan-
cery Court the Members of the Councill may be Joined with
the Chancellor or Keeper of the Great Scale for the Time
being to Sitt as a Court of Judicature and have a Voice in
the Passing Decrees or other Sentences on such Rehearing
or Reviews

On Reading whereof his Excellency is Pleased to say he
has no Directions from their Lordships about the Joining the
members of the Councill with the Chancellor, And that with-
out their particular Orders therein he Cannot Consent to
any such Clause

And the Question being put whether this House agrees to
that message or not
Resolved in the Affirmative as to the nineteen months time
Allowed in the Provl Court and high Court of Appeals, But
in the negative as to the Allowing the Councill to have a Vote
on Rehearings and Reviews in the Chancery Court
On Reading the Report of the Conferrees on the Land
Law And the message of the Lower House thereon the follow-
ing Message is Prepared Viz.

By the Uper house of Assembly
May the 6th 1718
Gent. On Reading the Report of the Conference on the
Land Law And your Message thereon We concurr with your
House therein with this Difference that there be no Appeal to
Comissioners of Review but that nine Comissioners being men
of the best Reputation in the Counties for ascertaining the
bounds of Land in Each County be Appointed that Contend-
ing Parties may have the better Choice of such and so many
of them as they shall Approve of to Determine their Contro-
versies not being less than three whose Determination shall
