The Question is also put that seeing John Brannock has
Petitioned this house for Relief in a Cause he hath a Remedy
for at Common Law, whether it is not vexatious to the Jus-
tices of that County And Tends to the Discourageing Justices
of the Peace holding Comissions under his Ldp or not.
Resolved in the Affirmative.
Mr Tobias Pollard and two Others from the lower house
with the follo Engrossed bills, Assented to by that House viz.
A Bill to Enable Benja Howard to sell Lands in Ann
Arundell County and to Entail other Lands in Baltemore
County.
A Bill for Investing the Right heirs of Edwd Day of

Somersett County in Certain lands in that County which are
Read in this house and assented to, And Colo Holland sent to
Acquaint the lower ho: thereof.
Colo Maxwell & Mr Wm Young bring up a bill from the
lower house to Confirm to Mary Hall of Talbot County Widow
a Tract of Land called Glades Addition in that County Passed
by the Lower house
Mr James Lloyd & two others bring the follo Message from
the lower House.

May it please Your Honours
We have read Capt Hardys Petition with Mr Attorny
Generall Opinion thereon in this House but as there are not
any Facts therein set forth whereby we can Conceive Capt
Hardy to be Aggrieved so we know not how to pvide for his
reliefe. However we Begg leave to Observe that the Act of
Assembly sufficiently Provides for the speedy recovery of
Debts in the County Courts by sending of Copies of Declara-
tions with the writts which as we take it was chiefly Designed
for the Benefitt of Traders and Forreigners.
As to that part of the Attrny Generall's Opinion relating to
the bringing in a Bill for the making Valid the Depositions of
Seafaring men Absent out of this Province in the sevll County
Courts We shall further Consider thereof
