Thomas Macnemara Esqr Proves before this House his
Accounts of Shipping & Country Duties &c. Till this Time as
being Naval Officer of Petuxent.
Capt Daniel Mariartee and five others bring from the Lower
House the follo Message Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly

Aprill the 30th 1718
May It Please Yor Honrs

It is with Great Satisfaction to this house by Perusing their
Lordships' Letter to your Honours That we find their Lord-
ships so firmly resolved to maintain the Authority of their
Government here against the many bold and Insolent Attempts
of Mr Macnemara to the Discouragement of such that for the
future shall fly in the face of Government.
And We Cannot but Observe from the Transcript of the
Records from Philadelphia that Mr Macnemara has not only
been Obnoxious to Government here but in other Places where
he has had any Residence so that we hope their Lordships will
be sufficiently Convinced that the Prosecutions against Mr

Macnemara here have not been Carryed on by Partiality, for
that he has undergone the same Fate before in other Places
Purely through his own haughty ambitious Temper and ill
Conduct.
