Tis found by Experience & Sundry Petitions Offered to this
House that some Amendments are necessary to be made in the
Act for Ascertaining the bounds of Lands &c. which ought
to be done either by a Supplementary Bill to the Act or by
Reenacting it which being a matter of Great Concern to the
Province in Generall We Desire your Excy & Honrs will be
Pleased to Appoint some of the members of your House to
Joyn with some of our members in a Conference to Consider
of that Act and Propose what Amendments may be thought
necessary

April 29th 1718

I Do hereby humbly Certify to your Hon" that Pursuant to
your Reference made to me yesterday to Consider whether
that Part of the Bill now proposed as a Supplementary Bill to
the Act Directing the manner of Electing & Sumoning Dele-
gates & Representatives to Serve in Succeeding Assemblys
&ca Relateing to Papists voteing at Elections be Repugnant to
the Laws of England or not ; I have Consulted Authoritys and
find the same no ways Repugnant but Consonant to the law of

years of King William the 3d of Glorious memory, Entituled
An Act for the better Security of his Majestys Royall Person
& Government.
