A Remonstrance from Dorchr County agt Mr John Bran-
nock being laid before this house is Endorsed as follo.

By the Uper house of Assembly, Aprill the 26th 1718
Gent, of the Lo: house
Forasmuch as the Gent against whom the within Remon-
strance is made is a Sitting member of your House we
Recomend the Due Consideration [there] of to you.

Sent to the Lo Ho by Henry Lowe Esqr who returns and
says He delivered it
Mr Peter Taylor and Mr Tobias Pollard from the Lower
House with the Remonstrance against Mr Brannock Endorsed
as folio

Aprill 26th 1718
May It Please your Honours


On reading and Considering the within Remonstrance We
are of Opinion that there Can be no Reason for Exhibiting
the same, for that the Justices of Dorchester County are not
yet acquited from facts last Assembly laid to their Charge by
the Inhabitants of that County for the same matters Com-
plained of by this Remonstrance as a Libelling of them which
was then referred to yor Honours' Consideration.
But we must observe that if the member of our House
Complained of hath Libelled the Justices of that County with-
out Reason they may have their Remedy against him. How-
ever we hope if the facts alledged against the Justices be
found True by your Honours, That the psons Exhibiting so
Scandalous a Remonstrance may be punished according to
their Deserts.
