Eleven hundred & Twelve pounds of Tobacco Pretending the
same arose due to him for Attornys Fees.
His Excellency Also lays before this House the Eleventh
Article of his Majtys Instructions to him dated
St James's the first day of July 1715
Viz. He shall be aiding & assisting to the Collector & other
Officers appointed or that shall be hereafter appointed by the
Comrs of the Customes in this Kingdom, by and under the
Authority & Direction of our Comissioners of our Treasury,
or our high Treasurer for the time being, In puting in Execu-
tion the Severall Acts of Parliament before mentioned ; And
he shall Cause due Prosecution of all such psons as shall any
ways hinder or Resist any of the said Officers of our Customes
in the pformance of their Duty.
Whereupon his Excellency is pleased to say by way of
message as foll.
Gent. By this Instruction you will Observe that what I did
in Relation to my Assisting his Majtys Collector was not only
in the due Discharge of my Office, but also by an Express
Comand from his Majesty; And which Mr Macnemara in a
most Insolent manner endeavoured to obstruct, and used
those threatning Speeches mentioned in the annext Paper to
this, of which Proceeding of Mr Macnemara, I shall say no
more at this time having Desired your Opinion upon it
