The Lower House. 485

 

By the Comee of Accots
July 19th 1716.

Tis Humbly reported to the Honble Lower house of As-
sembly that on Examination of the accounts by this Comittee
they appear to be proved before the Comry Gen" by the within
Petition and that by the Information of the Register of the
Comrys office the Petr produced Vouchers makeing appear
most of the debts for which allowance is craved in said accots
to the Comry Genl

Thereupon on motion made the Question was put whether
leave shall be given to bring in a bill Resolved in the affirm-
ative and therefore ordered leave be given to bring in a bill
Col William Whittington From the Upper house delivers
Mr Speaker the following Message.

By his Exncy and the Upper house of Assembly
July 19th 1716.

His Exncy and this board gladly Imbrace any opportunity
of dispatching the publick Bussieness and doe approve
of the times you have appointed to meet, and sitt every day
dureing this Session & assure you there shall be no delay
from his Exncy & this house.

O. of the upper house of Assembly.

Col Addison from the Upper house delivers Mr Speaker the
following Message Viz.

By the upper house of Assembly.
July 19th 1716.

Upon reading the message from the Lower house by Mr
Tyler and othrs praying a conferrence to be had relateing to the
laws and the Style used when the Lord Proprys noble Ances-
tors had the Government of this Province Wee have resolved
that the said Conference be granted and that the Honble Thos
Brooke Esqr Col Wm Holland, Col Thomas Addison, Philemon
Lloyd Esqr Lt Col Richd Tilghman, and Col Thomas Smith be
appointed to conferr with the Conferrees To be named by the
Lower house at Six of the Clock this Evening at Mr Dodds
house on that Subject.
