Excy shall be paid £3000 Tobo by every County in the
Province for a Copy of the said Laws when transcribed and
3000 11 Tobo for a Copy of the same for the Provincial Court
to be allowed in the publick Levy besides the Fee for affix-
ing the Seals to every such Copy and pray your Excellency's
Approbation.

The same is sent up to his Excellency the Governor by
Capt. Mariarte Major Wilson Capt. Ballard, Mr Whittington,
Mr Vanderheyden, and Mr Warfield.
They return and say they delivered the Message.
The House adjourns till One O'Clock in the Afternoon.

Thursday Afternoon

The House met according to Adjournment. Present as in
the Morning.

Mr Foster Turbutt from the Committee of Laws delivers
Mr Speaker a Bill for Relief of Ezekiel Parr of Cecil County;
which was read the first and second Time by especial Order
in the House of Delegates with the Amendments proposed
by the Council and will pass and so indorsed.

The same is sent up to the Honble Council by Major Ward
& Mr Wright

They return and say they delivered the Bill.

Mr Tasker from the Committee of Laws delivers Mr Speaker
a Bill for Relief of Peter Sewall of Calvert County; which
was read the first and second Time by especial Order in the
House of Delegates with the Amendments proposed by the
Council and will pass and so indorsed.

The same is sent up to the Honble Council by Col" Mac-
kail & Mr Holdsworth.

They return and say they delivered the Bill

Mr Thomas Robins from the Committee of Laws delivers
Mr Speaker a Bill ascertaining the Gauge and Tare of Tobo
Hhds. and to prevent Cropping & defacing Tobacco taken
on Board Ships or Vessels upon Freight and for laying Impo-
sitions on Tobacco p the Hhd for the Support of Government
and for the encouraging Settlemts in this Province by ascer-
taining the Manner of paying Alienation Fines & Quit Rents
to the Lord Propry of this Province. Which was read the
first and and second Time in the House of Delegates and will
pass and so indorsed.
