Which said Bills were Endorsed read in the House of Dele-
gates the first & second times & by especial Order will pass

Major Storey and Major Hammond bring up a Bill for the
naturalization of Peter Overard and Daniel Packett read
twice by the Delegates which was read at the Board the first
& second times and with the Bill for making valid in Law a
Deed of Bargain and Sale by Col Ninian Beale to Michl Ash-
ford late of Prince Georges County

The Bill for confirming the probat of the Will of John Har-
rison late of Charles County
The Bill for killing of Squirrells
The Bill against Striking several Sorts of Fish And

The Bill for reviving the Act for Ascertaining the Height
of Fences

Which being all read twice at this Board and so Endorsed
were sent down to the House by Mr Lloyd and Capt Dorsey

The Bill confirming the last will and Testamt of John Courts
late of Charles County Esqr deceased being read at the Board
the first and second times & being so Endorsed will pass.

Sent down to the House by Col Greenberry & Col Addison

It being represented to the Consideration of this Board that
of late there has been Several Disorders committed by drunken
Indians even to the Endangering the Peace of this Province
and whether it might not be fitt to make a Law to restrain her
Majesty's Subjects from making any great numbers of them
drunk by selling any Indians any Quantitys of Liquors in any
one Day exceeding one Gallon of Rum Wine and Spiritts or
five Gallons of Cyder under a severe Penalty or not

It was resolved in the Affirmative that such a Law was
very necessary

Major Sprigg and three others bring up a Bill for regu-
lating Writts of Error & granting appeals And an Ordinance
for quieting and settling the Differences and Disputes among
the Inhabitts of Baltimore County
The Board adjourned until nine of the Clock to morrow
morning

Saturday October [November] the 8th 1712
The Council Sate Present as yesterday
And the Bill for confirming a Lease of Land made by
Robert Smith Esqr to Matthew Mason being considered with
Richard Bennet Esqr his objections thereunto It is recom-
mended to the House of Delegates that the passing the Bill
