Who make choice of Edmond Benson for their Clerk
The said Conferees are humbly of opinion that it is abso-
lutely necessary that a Bill be brought in for regulating
Writts of Error & for granting Appeals from & to the Courts
of common Law within this Province And that the said Bill
be in all respects agreeable to the former Law for Appeals &
regulating Writts of Errour; Excluding that Paragraph relat-
ing to Appeales from the High Court of Chancery to the
Governour & Council
The said Conferees are likewise of opinion that a Clause
be added to the said Bill to restrain all Appeals from the De-
crees of the High Court of Chancery to the Queen & Council
in England unless the same amount to three hundred pounds
Sterl or Sixty thousd pounds of Tobo

Novemr the 4th 1712

Whereas the Sea board side of Somersett County has lately
been often alarmed by Privateers and some having attempted
to Land there to the great Terrour of the Inhabitants, The
Honble Col Whittington the Commander in Chief of that
County was requested by this Board to procure a Great Gun
to make an Alarm & to employ Persons to look out on the
Sea side.
Wherefore that Service & the Charge thereof is recom-
mended to your Consideration that such reasonable Satisfaction
as you shall see fit on View of the Accounts herewith sent
