her Majesty and do all the good offices you can to the People
you have the Honour To Govern under her and by her par-
ticular favour of so long duration (which we pray may Still
continue) And as we the Representative Body of the Province
have no design of offering any thing of great moment to your
Honour but what is absolutely and immediately necessary for
the Welfare Peace and Tranquillity of the Province, So we
cannot harbour the least Thought of your Honours not con-
curring with us therein assuring your Honour that our Design
or Intention is not to propose or Expect your Honour to
assent to any thing which we conceive will be contrary to the
Instructions given you by her Majesty to whose most Princely
Care & tender Affection We entirely recommend the Lives &
Fortune of ourselves and those we represent
