468 Assembly Proceedings, Oct. 5-9, 1714.

By the House of Delegates
October the 5th 1714

Ordered That Colo Matthew Tilghman Ward Colo Mackall
Mr Worthington and Major Thomas Sprigg go to the Coun-
cil Chamber and acquaint his Excy the Govr that a sufficient
number of members to make a House is convened.

They return and say they delivered their Message.

Colo Edward Lloyd and Colo Thomas Addison from the
Honble Council enter the House and acquaint Mr Speaker
that his Excy the Govr commands him and the House to
attend him immediately in the Council Chamber.

Then Mr Speaker and the House went up to the Council
Chamber to attend his Excy accordingly.

Then Mr Speaker with the House returned from the Coun-
cil Chamber and Mr Speaker resumed the Chair. And it was
Ordered That Colo Ward, Colo Mackall, Mr James Stoddart
and Capt. Mariarte go up along with Mr John Rousby and
Mr Alexander Parran two Delegates returned this Sessions
to serve for Calvert County in the Room of Mr John Leach
deceased, and Mr John Broome who since his Election accepted
of the Place of high Sheriff of the said County with Colo
James Maxwell a Delegate returned this Sessions for Balti-
more County to serve in the Room of Mr William Talbott
deced. Mr William Blay a Delegate returned this Sessions
for Kent County to serve in the Room of Colo Edward Blay
deced Mr John Hammond and Mr Alexander Warfield two
Delegates returned this Sessions for Ann Arundel County to
serve in the Room of Capt. Richard Jones and Major Charles
Hammond deced Major John Hawkins a Delegate returned
to serve this Sessions for Queen Ann's County in the Room
of Mr John Wells deced to see them qualified by taking the
usual Oaths appointed by several Acts of Parliament
They return and say they seen them qualified
Resolved That this House will sitt to do Business during
this Sessions from nine O'Clock in the Morning till four
O'Clock in the Afternoon.

Resolved and accordingly Ordered That every Member
that does not appear at the second Call of the House over
every Morning shall forfeit that Day's Allowance on which
such Member disappears.

Colo Richard Tilghman from his Excy the Gov. having
acquainted Mr Speaker that his Excy desires they will attend
him by ten of the Clock to Morrow Morning to St Ann's
Church to hear Divine Service imploring God's Blessing on
