Colo Greenberry from the Council enters the House and
delivers Mr Speaker the following Message and some Papers
relating thereto
By the Council in Assembly
8ber 26th 1711
By the late Order in Council and Return from Lt Colo
Gale and Capt. Ballard thereon you will find the Nanticoke
Indians are much dissatisfied they may not be permitted to
continue at Broad Creek where they are set down, we cannot
think prudent to have any Difference with them especially at
this Time when our Fellow Subjects in North Carolina are at
open Rupture with the Tuskaroras and therefore recommend
it to your Consideration how to procure their Satisfaction
either by purchasing the three thousand Acres they are now
seated on or such other Means as you may judge effectual
thereto.
Signed p Order W Bladen Cl. Council.
