The Lower House. 419

Colo Wm Holland, & Colo Greenfield from the Honble
Council enter the House and deliver Mr Speaker the Message
following Viz.

By his Excy the Governor and Council in Assembly
July Ist 1714
Gentlemen,

Upon reading your Answer to our Message of the 28th June
by Colo Holland and Lieut Colo Young relating to some Stat-
utes of England we have Reason to believe you have miscon-
ceived our Proposal therein; by which we did not offer to you
that the General Assembly should concert what Statutes
should be in Force here but that the Question should be solely
stated to the Lawyers in England to know whether the said

Statutes should be in force here or not they being often

asserted as Law and very often denied which introduces very
great Doubts and Confusion in the Courts of Justice here.
We do agree with your House that the Time of year does not
well admit you to be long absent from your respective Habi-
tations and therefore shall readily concur with you in the
speedy Conclusion of this Sessions
Signed p Order W Bladen Cl. Conl

Colo Thomas Addison, Philemon Lloyd Esqr Colo Richard
Tilghman and John Dorsey Esqr from the Honble Council
enter the House and deliver Mr Speaker the Bill for reconcil-
ing Differences in Relation to the Bounds of Land within this
Province and for settling the Bounds thereof with the follow-
ing Endorsement Viz.

By the Honble her Majesty's Council in Assembly
July Ist 1714

This Bill being read at the Board his Excy and her Majesty's
Honble Council are of Opinion the Matter in the Bill contained
is of the utmost Moment and worthy the most mature Consid-
eration of the General Assembly the Property of all her
Majesty's Subjects here being concerned therein which we do
not believe the present Time will admit of and therefore do
think fit to refer the further Considn of this Bill to the next
Sessions of Assembly.
Signed p Order W. Bladen Cl. Con.

The said Bill is likewise read and referred to the Considn
of the next Sessions of Assembly.
Signed p Order Thos Macnemara Cl. Ho. Del.
