and shall be ready to raise such Supplies from Time to Time
as may be sufficient for the defraying the necessary Charge of
this Province; and it is our firm Resolution that nothing shall
be wanting in us necessary to obviate any Emergency that
may happen, having the Assurance of her Majesty's Favour
and Permission that we may at any Time enquire and examine
how such Supplies are applied with your Excys Permission.
We beg Leave to assure your Excy that some Provision is
already made for the Preservation of the Arms already pro-
vided for the Defence of this Province and that we shall be
ready to make any farther Provision that shall be thought
necessary; and we cannot be so much wanting to ourselves
as not to own her Sacred Majesty's Princely Regard of us in
recommending this particular; a Thing that so nearly concerns
us, to your Excy as part of your Instructions it being our
Desire and should be of all they that love the Preservation of
Liberty and Property to live under her auspicious and pious
Governmt so long as God will permit. We also humbly de-
sire that your Excy will please to be informed that there is
such Provision already made for the summoning of Jurors in
Order for the Administration of Justice as far as the Circum-
stances of the People of this Province will at present admit of
by an Act entituled an Act for causing Grand and Petit Jurors
and Witnesses to come to the Provincial and County Courts;
And that there is a Sufficient Provision already made for
Relief of Creditors of Persons becoming Bankrupts in Great
Britain and having Effects in this Province by an Act entituled
an Act for the Relief of Creditors in England against Bank-
rupts who have imported any Goods into this Province not
accounted for which is in full Force. And further that this
House never intended to propose any Law for lessening any
Part of her Majesty's Revenues, but could wish their Abilities
were such and their Inclinations should not be wanting to
augment it. And we further assure your Excellency that we
shall at all Times yield such Obedience to her Majesty as
becomes Loyal Subjects to so good and gracious a Queen and
are entirely satisfied that her Majesty's good and gracious
Instructions towards us are such that She will at all Times
