The Speaker and Members of the House of Delegates
came & attended His Excellency the Governeur in Council
and Mr Speaker presented to his Excellency a Bill for settling
a Revenue on her Majestys present Governeur Which was by
his Excellency assented to on behalf of her most Sacred
Majesty and Sealed with the great Seal of this Province in
presence of the sd Speaker and Delegates after which they
took Leave & repair'd to their House
Mr Roger Woolford & twelve more of the Delegates
brought from their House a Bill for Limitation of Officers
Fees Endorsed by their House

The Title of which being read It was ordered to lye on the
Table
The Bill for relieving the Inhabitants of this Province from
some Aggrievances in the prosecution of suits at Law being
read at the Board, His Excellency is told that the Bill is not
a new Bill but only revised at this Time And hath been
transmitted some years since to her Majesty and the Lords
Commrs of Trade & Plantations And nothing has ever been
by the sd Lords objected against it
The honble Philemon Lloyd Deputy Secretary desired to
be heard thereto and offered that It was a prejudice to the
Secretary's Office in restraining the Jurisdiction of the Pro-
vincial Court.
But the Bill intending a publick Good to the Inhabitants
of this Province & not being prejudicial to any of her Majesty's
Subjects in Great Brittain It having been first put to the Vote
was Ordered to be thus Endorsed —
