John Hall Esq from Council brings the following Message
By the President and Council in Assembly
9ber 14th 1713
Whereas the Printer is dead and the Act for Publication of
all Laws within this Province requires a fair Transcript of the
Laws of every Session to be wrote on Parchment and trans-
mitted by Writ under the Great Seal to the Sheriff of each
respective County to be published for which the Keeper of
the Great Seal is to be allowed so much Tobacco as the
General Assembly in which the said Laws are made shall
assess and allow and the transcribing on Parchment being
absolutely required there not being sufficient to be had for
that Purpose we desire your Advice in the Premises.

Upon reading the foregoing Message it's ordered the
Answer following be sent

In Answer to your Message of this Day by John Hall Esq.
we desire the Honble President will cause the Laws made this
Session of Assembly to be transcribed on good Paper the
Parchment which the Country sent for being not yet arrived
and what is to be bought in the Country is very dear and
scarce not fit for Use
