ing her Majesty's Grace and ffavour in any reasonable Thing-
We desire notwithstanding the false Suggestion of any one
when her Majesty is made truly sensible of the Truth of our
Condition and when the Committee appointed by you and us
to inspect the Records make their Report we believe your
Honours will be made sensible of the Deserts of Sir Thomas
Lawrence. As to the other Part relating to your joining with
us in the address and Remonstrance about the Tobacco
Trade we gratefully acknowledge your Readiness therein and
desire the Members may meet thereon with all Expedition
Signed p Order R. Dallam Cl. Ho. Del.

Sent up to the Council p Mr Tyler, Colo Mackall, Capt
Ennalls, Capt Jones, Mr Solomon Wright, Mr Peregrine
ffrisby, Mr Colegate and Mr John Purnell.
They return and say they delivered the same.
The Papers and Accounts laid before the House yesterday
relating to the ffree School debated and the House Resolved
to make the following Proposals Viz.

Proposals of the House of Delegates to the Governor
and Visitors of the ffree School
4th November 1713

That forasmuch as most of the Trustees in the Act named
are dead and departed the present Rector Governor and
Visitors be such with the Addition of one out of those
Counties where there are none already. That the Money
now in the Treasurers Hands belonging to the ffree School
be called in and let out on good Land Security to such Per-
sons as will take the same at a reasonable Interest not for less

than fuur years and a year's Notice to pay or call in the same

That the Treasurers pay so much of the Money as they have
received in Bills of Exchange or Money Sterl. in the same
Specie and so much as in Money Current and in that Specie
and make Oath to their Accots That the Treasurers or those
that shall receive the Duties for the Time being give good
Security to answer the same That the Accounts of the
ffree Schools be yearly laid before the House for their
Inspection

The aforesaid Proposals delivered to Major Hammond to
carry the same to the Rector and Governor of the ffree
School; who returns and says he delivered them
Colo Ennalls and Colo Tilghman from the Council enter the
House and deliver Mr Speaker the following Bills Viz.
A Bill to restrain the ill Practice of Sheriffs &u Indorsed
