Ordinaries without Limitation of time at least for a longer
Duration than it hath hitherto been made and that the Benefit
of the Licenses be thereby appropriated to the Use of the
Secretary for the Time being as fully and to all Intents and
Purposes as the said Sir Thomas Lawrence or any other
Secretary of this her Province hath at any Time heretofore
had or lawfully enjoyed.

And that She does further expect you give unto the said
Sir Thomas Lawrence an equitable Consideration for the
mean Profits of the said Office which he hath lost since the
Year 1704.

Mr Speaker and you Gentl. shall have the Perusal of her
Majesty's above recited Order by which you will see how
strictly I am commanded to press these Matters home to you
and doubt not but you will take it into your serious Consider-
ation and prudently shew your ready Compliance in a Matter
that has so often been adjudged to be his Right

Afterwards the House adjourned to their own House and
Mr Speaker took the Chair and Ordered Mr Edward Scott,
Mr James ffrisby and Majr Walter Storey attend the Honble
President and Council to see Colo Blay, Colo Smallwood, Mr
Vanderheyden and Mr Peregrine Frisby sworn.

They return and say they see them qualified and ordered
the Gentl. take their Places in the House

Mr Mariartee and Mr Broome enter the House.

Ordered That the Reverend Mr Butler read Prayers as
usual at the usual Times
Rules of the House read, agreed to and set up.

Resolved the House meet every Day at Nine O'Clock in
the Morning and continue sitting till four in the Afternoon

Resolved twenty two Members and Mr Speaker make a
House to proceed on Business this Session.
The House adjourns till Nine O'Clock to Morrow Morning

Wednesday the 28th October 1713

The House met according to Adjournment and present as
Yesterday with the Addition of Captain Richard Jones and

Mdjui Sprigg

Appointed for Committee of Accounts, Mr Leech, Mr Hill,
Mr Scott & Mr Brooke
Appointed for Committee of Laws Mr Ward, Mr Worth-
ington, Mr Wells, Mr Garrett, Mr Loockerman and Colo Mackall.
