Majesty in the year 1709 in full answer to Sr Thos Lawrences
complaint if ever committed to our Care was transmitted to
the Lords Commissioners of Trade & Plantations but whether
the then Assembly recommended it to our Care or not, or that
It ever was presented to her Majesty (seeing we have no
Agent in Great Brittain to transact Affairs on behalf of the
Province) We cannot Say

Thursday October the 29th 1713

The Council Sate Present as yesterday
Mr Tyler and Mr Solomon Wright bring from the House
the following Message Viz

By the House of Delegates
October 29th 1713

This House being informed that the Land & other Records
are much damnifyed we humbly desire that some of her
Majesty's honourable Council may be joined with some of the

members of this House to enquire into the same & of the

proper methods for the better preservation of those records
for the future

Which being read & thought reasonable the following
answer was sent thereto by Col Ennalls.

By the President & Council in Assembly
October the 29th 1713

We approve of your proposal for appointing some of the
members of your House together with some of this Board to
enquire into the State of the Land and other Records And
when you let us know what members of your House are
appointed for that Service and the time when we shall take
care to join some of our Board with them.
