Resolved he should beg Pardon of the House, pay to the
Clerk of this House five hundred Pounds of Tobacco, To
Richard Young Serjeant attendant 400lb Tobo To Dutton
Lane, his Deputy, for his Journey and ffees, six hundred
Pounds of Tobacco, and to Moses Adney, Doorkeeper, two
hundred Pounds of Tobacco.
The Sheriff again called into the House, Mr Speaker ac-
quainted him how favourable the House was in their censuring
him. He returned Thanks, begged Pardon on his Knees,
promised to comply with the ffees and withdrew.
Ordered the said Sheriff be dismissed from any further
Attendance on this House
The Honble Colo Greenberry and Colo Tilghman from the
Council enter the House and deliver Mr Speaker several
Papers and Petitions relating to Baltimore County, Recom-
mended to the House by the Honble Council for quieting the
People of that County.
Resolved they be considered of to Morrow

John Hall Esqr enters the House and delivers Mr Speaker
the following Message.

By the Honble President & Council in Assembly
Novr 4th 1712

The Honble John Hall Esqr Thomas Addison and Philemon
Lloyd Esqrs and Colo Richard Tilghman are appointed by us
to confer with the Conferees from your House on the Subject
Matter desired at the Time and Place appointed and are now
ready to join with your Members on that Conferrence.

Ordered the Members appointed by this House go out on
the Conferrence. Afterwards the Gentl, of the Conferrence
entered the House and delivered Mr Speaker the following
Report.

The Conferrees are humbly of Opinion that it's absolutely
necessary that a Bill be brought in for regulating Writs of
Error and granting Appeals from and to the Courts of Com-
mon Law, within this Province and that the said Bill be in all
Respects agreeable to the former Law for Appeals and regu-
lating Writs of Error; excluding that Paragraph relating to
Appeals from the High Court of Chancery to the Governor
and Council. The said Conferrees are likewise of Opinion
that a Clause be added to the said Bill to restrain all Appeals
