Bill reviving the Act imposing three Pence p Gallon on
Rum, Wine, Brandy and Spirits & twenty Shillings p Head
on Negroes & Irish Servants. Read the first & Second Times
by special Order and will pass.
Bill confirming unto ffrancis Sherwood and his Heirs an
Estate in ffee simple of in & to certain Lands Read the first
and second Times by special Order & will pass.
Bill reviving the Act ascertaining ffees to Attorneys and
levying the same by Way of Execution. Read the first and
second Times by Special Order & will pass
The five last Bills sent up to the Council by Colo Hoskins,
Mr Lloyd, Mr Broome, Mr Sprigg, Mr Brooke, Mr John Purnell,
Mr William Whittington and Mr Clagett
They return and say they delivered the Bills
Mr Cadwallader Edwards Petition praying an Allowance
for making Window Shutters and other Work done about the
Stadt House Read and referred to Mr Leach, Mr Woolford
and Mr Thomas Purnell to view the Work and report the
Value thereof to the House
Mr James Lloyd and Mr James ffrisby ordered to attend the
Council to see Mr John Rousby prove his Naval Officers
Accounts.
They return and report they saw him sworn thereto.
Mr John Mackall from the Committee of Elections and
Privileges enters the House and reports that the several
Members returned for Ann Arundel County are duly elected
according to Law. The House concurs with the Report of
the Committee
Matthew Mason's Petition referred from last Session Read.
Mr Richd Bennett appeared & heard thereto. Debated and
referred for further Consideration on Tuesday.
